Annabel Lamb

Annabel Lamb is a British singer-songwriter. She has released six albums to date (including a Top of The Pops performance in 1983, with her cover version of The Doors "Riders On The Storm", her only hit on the UK Singles Chart). She has been diverse at times, her earlier albums showing decidedly new wave, synth-pop, experimental rock, jazz and ethnic influences.


In 1983 she released her debut album "Once Bitten" The U.S. version of the album differed from the UK release and as well as different cover artwork, contained the single "Riders On The Storm" which was not present on the original UK issue.
Lamb has also been a session singer and musician for the likes of Toni Basil and Tina Charles.As well as her recording and touring career, Lamb has co-written songs with many other artists, notably the song "Amazed Are We" for Maxi Priest. Amongst her influences, she lists James Taylor, Bonnie Raitt, Jane Siberry, Fairport Convention and Paul Brady.

Ladytron- Velocifero

'Velocifero' is the fourth studio album from Ladytron and their first to be released by their new label, Nettwerk. "Black Cat" is now available to download on their website. They have announced that "Ghosts" will be the first single of the album. The album is available for digital download on iTunes as of 19 May 2008. It is released on CD and other download websites on 2 June in the UK and 3 June elsewhere. Ladytron's record label have confirmed this album will be the first of Ladytron's with no vinyl release. The music video for Ghosts was officially released on YouTube on 17 May 2008.

Aimee Mann- Smilers

'Smilers' (also known as @#%&*! Smilers) is the forthcoming seventh studio album by singer-songwriter Aimee Mann. It is scheduled to be released by SuperEgo Records on June 3, 2008. The album was produced by Mann's bassist, Paul Bryan, and features guest appearances by singer-songwriter Sean Hayes, who duets with Mann on the track "Ballantines," and author Dave Eggers, who whistles on "Little Tornado."

The Fall- Imperial Wax Solvent

'Imperial Wax Solvent' is a studio album by The Fall - the band's 27th - released in the UK on April 28th, 2008. The album features a new British-based lineup after the departures of the American musicians involved in writing and performing 2007's Reformation Post TLC - Mark E. Smith, keyboardist Elena Poulou and bassist Dave Spurr remain from the previous incarnation. They are joined by guitarist Pete Greenway (a guest guitarist on the previous album) and drummer Keiron Melling.

Cyndi Lauper- Bring Ya To The Brink

'Bring Ya to the Brink' is Cyndi Lauper's tenth studio album and is to be released on May 27, 2008. The first single from the album is "Same Ol' Story". Lauper visited England and France during early 2007 where she wrote songs with dance artists such as Basement Jaxx, Digital Dog, Dragonette, Kleerup and Richard Morel. A song Lauper recorded with Basement Jaxx titled "I'm from New York" was available to stream from the band's MySpace profile and is rumoured to be included on their forthcoming fifth studio album. "Into the Nightlife" is expected to be released as the album's second single.

Next Wave: Santogold

Santogold is American artists, songwriter and producer who has recently released the self titled debut album. As she said her music is influenced by many diverse 80's music styles including New wave, Ska, Dub and Punk rock. She has made a point of not performing R&B or rap like other "brown girls”. “I'm A Lady” is a pop song that reminds of a great song from the mid 80's.
