Male Tears, based in LA, has debuted the video for their song "Sex on Drugs" (aka SoD). The track offers a unique fusion of Italo disco rhythms with Goth-style vocals and visual aesthetics. Drab Majesty Release their second album 'Demonstration'
In 2016, we had a huge crush with their song "The Heiress" and this is where the story with Drab Majesty begins for us. Happy to see that they have released a new album. The new album will be entitled 'Demonstration' and for those who never listened to them, Drab Majesty blend goth with 80's synths and art post-punk sound and visuals, recalling Clan of Xymox and the Cure. The band will also embark on an extensive tour which will include Europe as well. The first single from the album entitled "39 by Design" is already available on Youtube.

Retrovision: The Chills- Pink Frost
Thirty years ago The Chills released the haunting and atmospheric "Pink Frost". One somewhere said "Creepy beauty from the far south" and I think this is the right sentence to describe this lo-fi, post-punk, goth feel tune. Their biggest and probably most essential hit was recorded in 1982 and this is also where it belongs. This might be the song that defines the band and gives the absolute high water mark in New Zealand's jangle pop history.

Phosphor's Youth and Immorality out on Desire Records
Desire Records have released the 'Youth and Immorality', the debut album by the London based group Phosphor. The trio which was formed in 2011, was influenced by the likes of Depeche Mode, Sixth June, Fever Ray, HTRK, Linear Movement, Slowdive and Cocteau Twins. The album was inspired by the confusion and desolation of living in the city, constant battles with the troubled mind and an obsession with beautifully dark sounding music. Creating a bitter, melancholy atmosphere whilst morphing menacing synths into something of great pop beauty.
The album is available as the first pressing - limited edition of 300 copies - white vinyl.

Instant Hit: End of Data- Sahrah
The minimal/ post punk outfit End of Data from France released two albums during their Brief existence. Their first LP Sahrah was released in 1984 through Divine record label and their second album followed the year after. This gothadelic tune perfectly represents the sound of the first album.
End of Data never officially released any singles and, sadly their albums never got reissued.

Instant Hit: Siouxsie & The Banshees- Happy House
"Happy House" was the first single Siouxsie & The Banshees released from their third album Kaleidoscope. It was released in March in 1980, and became their second top 20 hit in the UK. The songs intorduction was sampled by Italian dance act Cappella in their song "U got to Know" during the 90's when Cappella was sued by the band and lost. The original celebrates the 30 years anniversary.
