Reissue: Beograd-TV

One of the first synth-pop acts of the former Yugoslavia Beograd, named after the capital Belgrade has been reissued on CD for the very first time. Their debut  EP features the title track "TV" and three other minimal style synth-pop tracks and it is out on Anna Logue Records. This year also marks the 30 year anniversary of its original release.

The Hidden Tapes

A Compilation of Minimal Wave from Around the World ‘79-‘85 has been announced via Minimal Wave to be released soon. 'The Hidden Tapes' features rare, unreleased, and licensed tracks from as far as Japan and the former Yugoslavia. The sounds on this record range from raw proto-industrial to naive danceable Belgradian new wave, to filmic synthesizer music to more complex, vocal-driven melodic synthpop.
This is a limited edition of 999 numbered copies, pressed on 180 gram vinyl, and housed in heavy printed jacket accompanied by printed inner jacket with photos and info.

Šizike (Shizike)

Šizike (Shizike)was a female trio, a band from Begrade, Serbia which was formed in the early 80's. In 1984 they released their only album 'In The Wonderland' from which the single "Don't Stop" was taken. The album was released on PGP RTB and it was produced by Zoran Jeftic. Their sound was combination of early Bananarama and Tom Tom Club, minimal synth with breakbeats, scratching and vocoder inputs.The songs were mostly sung in Serbian
