Midge Ure's Greatest Hits to be Released on a 2CD Compilation The Works

Demon Music Group have announced the release of a brand new Best of compilation by Midge Ure. Midge Ure fronted Ultravox in the new Romantic Eighties – but his career, whether guesting for Thin Lizzy and Visage, getting Band Aid up and running with Bob Geldof or a string of superb solo albums, amounts to much more. This in-depth look at those solo releases runs from Eighties chart-topper ‘If I Was’ through Nineties big-seller ‘Breathe’ and also includes extended and live versions of songs.

Instant Hit: Fatal Charm- Paris (1981)

"Paris" was the first single for Fatal Charm which was released in 1979. The song was written by the lead singer Paul Arnall who also sang the original version. In 1980, Sarah Simmonds joined the band and a year later "Paris" was re-released. Sarah's voice and Midge Ure production skills gave the record a whole new feel. The record featured "Christine" on a B-side and it was released by Ariola.

Lost Videos: Corect Spelling- Love Me Today

Corect Spelling released "Love Me Today" thirty years ago. Sadly the single failed to land a hit and remained the only release for a band which was later dropped from the label. They were also known as SUSHI (Europe) and Cold Fish(UK). This song was produced by non other than Midge Ure and you can imagine what Ultravox could have sounded like if the were lead by a female vocalist. The video for the song is low budget and focuses on Michelle McAdorey's flooded floor scene.
