John Maus is American avant-garde musician and composer. Although first drawn to our attention as a core member of Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti and keyboard player with Animal Collective's Panda Bear, Maus has proved himself to be an extraordinary musician with a distinctive sound in his own right. He released two album Songs in 2006 and Love is Real in 2007 through ‘Upset! The Rhythm. His music is melancholic, electro driven baroque pop with weird synthesizer lines and drum machine clicks. His voice reminds of Ian Curtis and Nick Cave.

Heaven 17- Naked and Advertised
‘Naked as advertised’ is a newly recorded album by Heaven 17. Featuring Tracks derived from their live set as well as a few real collectors items of oddities and rarities..There is even one brand new, never heard before Heaven 17 song, ‘Don’t Fall’. Some of these tracks reach back into the very earliest days of Heaven 17. Re-visited and re-worked they sound as fresh today as they ever did. A beautiful version of the Associates' ‘Party Fears Two’ originally performed at the Billy Mackenzie memorial concert makes you take a second look at this classic and beautiful song.

Next Wave: Santogold
Santogold is American artists, songwriter and producer who has recently released the self titled debut album. As she said her music is influenced by many diverse 80's music styles including New wave, Ska, Dub and Punk rock. She has made a point of not performing R&B or rap like other "brown girls”. “I'm A Lady” is a pop song that reminds of a great song from the mid 80's.

Next Wave: Blondfire
Blondfire is the Brazilian/American brother/sister duo of Bruce and Erica Driscoll. They began under the name Astaire, but due to legal threats from the Fred Astaire estate they were forced to change their name. The siblings write/record/produce all their own songs and make a refreshing, UK influenced sound that is at once catchy, original, and undeniably their own. Despite their polished, pop hooks, the duo is the true definition of Indie.
