 The Communards' offshoot Banderas that consisted of the female duo Caroline Buckley and Sally Herbert, released three singles in the beginning of the 90's. This is your Life was the most successful out of the three reaching the UK Top 40 at number 16 in 1991.

Instant Hit: James Cuts - Sexify You

 James Lebon, a London-based hairdresser, graphic designer, and film director, made a foray into the music industry under the alias James Cuts. He recorded a song that served as a promotional piece for his professional work. The track, featuring Alan Rankine from The Associates on guitar/bass, was released by Les Disques Du Crépuscule in 1984.

Out Today: The Last Dinner Party - Prelude to Ecstasy

The Last Dinner Party has released their highly anticipated and long-awaited new album, Prelude to Ecstasy today. The album launch follows a string of hits from last year, including "Nothing Matters," "My Lady of Mercy" and "On Your Side". Next Wave: Candy Riot

 Candy Riot, based in Austin, Texas, is a synth-pop band that emerged during the Covid pandemic in 2020. While it appears to have started as a duo, it has now expanded into a quartet, with Bobby Cheatham (formerly of Bad Birds and Distance Runner), Liz Feezor, Ricky Rodriguez, and Erica Porter.
