WATCH: Pet Shop Boys - Dancing Star

Pet Shop Boys have unveiled the official video for their latest single, "Dancing Star," now accessible on YouTube. Directed by Luke Halls Studio, the video features breathtaking archival footage of the legendary ballet dancer, Rudolf Nureyev, and was created with the backing of the Rudolf Nureyev Foundation. 

     

Retrovision: Secession - The Magician

Secession's release of "The Magician" in 1987 stands as one of the few singles from their active period between 1983 and 1987. Today, it's regarded as a gem of rare 80s material, a testament to the band's contribution to the era's underground landscape. 

WATCH: Depeche Mode - People Are Good

The video for the kraftwerkish "People Are Good" by Depeche Mode has been premiered today on YouTube. This is the fourth single from their latest studio album Memento Mori which was released last year. As for the previous singles, the video was directed by Anton Corbijn.

 A new video for John Cale's song "How We See The Light"  has been premired on YouTube. The video was directed by Pepi Ginsberg  and produced by Karen Madar. His new album POPtical Illusion is set for release on June 14th.

Out Today: Ride - Interplay

 Ride have released their 7th studio album titled Interplay. It was written and recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic, and produced by the band and Richie Kennedy. Prior to the album release, the band already released three singles with the latest single "Monaco" below.

Marie Davidson - Y.A.A.M.

 Marie Davidson has revealed the video for the new song "Y.A.A.M". This is a first release for Soulwax’s DEEWEE imprint produced by longtime collaborator Pierre Guerineau. 

Instant Hit: Oto - Anyway

 The French Minimal wave/Post punk outfit Oto who were formed in 1979 released two singles and one EP back in the 80s. "Anyway" was recorded and released in Paris, in 1984 while their EP Purge and Urge followed two years later in 1986 after which the band disbanded. "Anyway" was reissued in 2022 by Replica records with the original B-sides.


Retrovision: Siouxsie and Banshees - Swimming Horses

 Forty years ago, Siouxsie and Banshees released "Swimming Horses" which was the first single from their sixth album Hyæna released in 1984. Unlike their previous singles, this song was based on the piano melody making it a great gothic art pop experiment.

Sunship Balloon emerged in 2020, comprising two-thirds of The Wombats. When lead singer Matthew Murphy ventured into Love Fame Tragedy, his bandmates Dan Haggis and Tord Øverland-Knudsen embarked on a new sonic journey as Sunship Balloon. Their music blends Synth and Indie Pop, resulting in a captivating indietronica sound.
