The Actor- Exploded View 2012

The Dutch duo the Actor will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the original release of their debut LP 'Exploded View'. The album was originally recorded as a tape and it is integrally going to be released as a vinyl album, later this year. It will also a feature all of their demo songs for the 'Exploded View' tape – never before published. They are also planning a release of a new album with re-recordings of old songs, together with some new material. More about the Actor soon...

A Flock of Seagulls Reissued

Cherry Red Records have reissued two albums by A Flock of Seagulls. Their self tiitled and debut which was originally released in 1982 and peaked at number 32 in the UK album charts is reissued for the third time. This version is a 15 track CD which features the 11 original tracks of the album plus 4 bonus tracks. The record contains timeless singles:"Telecommunication","I Ran" and "Space Age Love Song".
Their fourth studio album 'Dream Come True' dating from 1986 is reissued for the second time. This 14 track CD features the nine original tracks of the album plus five essential bonus tracks including the 7" & 12" single versions of "Who's That Girl (She's Got It)" and "Heartbeat Like A Drum". Both albums were originally released by Jive records between 1982 and 1986.

Icicle Works- The Small Price Of A Bicycle Reissue

The Liverpool group Icicle Works will see their second album 'The Small Price Of A Bicycle' reissued by Cherry Red Records this month. The album was originally released in 1985 and featured the singles "Seven Horses" and "All The Daughters". This reissue in conjunction with Beggars Banquet contains two bonus discs of rare and unreleased material, b-sides and live versions of the songs.

Der Plan Reissues

The first two albums by the German pioneers of the 'Neue Deutsche Welle', der Plan will be reissued in March on Medical Records. This will be the first vinyl release for "Geri Reig" and "Normalette Surprise" since the original release dates in 1980/81. Both albums feature catchy songs and undefinable sound collages geared towards minimal synthetic pop and they are available as a limited edition of 550 hand-numbered copies. Kate Bush- Reissues

Four Kate Bush albums are expected to be re-issued this year after the singer won back control of them from EMI, but there is no confirmation yet about any new material coming from her in 2011. The Dreaming, Hounds Of Love, The Sensual World and The Red Shoes, which EMI originally released between 1982 and 1993, are all lined up to be re-issued with former EMI and PolyGram executive David Munns now acting as a consultant to her.

New Musik- New Reissues

All three albums by New Musik which is the featured band of January have been reissued. This is the second/third time that the New Musik material is getting a new release. It is reported that the new Cherry Red 2011 re-master will likely sound clearer and more dynamic than the previous ones and the new thing is the the first two albums come as a 2CD set. The third album 'Wrap' sees the second reissue with the same bonus tracks which were included on the Japanese release in 2001.

Yello- The Anthology

Yello have released a re-mastered premium set 'Yello-The Anthology' which contains "The Singles Collection 1980-2010" and 2 CDs 'The Anthology'. Dieter Meier and Boris Blank selected their personal favorites and added 4 exclusive new songs: "Vicious Games" featuring Heidi Happy, "Dialectical Kid", "Liquid Lies 2010" and "Tears Run Dry" featuring Malia. A DVD with 23 visionary Yello videos and a 48 page booklet with rare photographs and personal commentary by Yello are included.

The Flying Lizards Reissue

Two two key albums by the Flying Lizards will be reissued during November on Cherry Red Records. Founded in 1978 by avant-garde composer and producer David Cunningham as an experimental pop band, The Flying Lizards rode the crest of the New Wave peaking with the international hit single Money. The Teardrop Explodes- Kilimanjaro Deluxe Reissue

Originally released in 1980, 'Kilimanjaro' was the debut album by The Teardrop Explodes. This new 3-disc deluxe set includes the original album plus a second disc rounding up the relevant non album singles and b-sides. These include the group's two initial Zoo singles, fronted by "Sleeping Gas" and "Bouncing Babies" and the post-album "Reward" which gave the group its sole Top 10 hit. Disc Three features the Teardrops' Peel sessions. The set comes with a series of newly written notes from core members Julian Cope, David Balfe and Gary Dwyer.

Sharpe & Numan 'Automatic' Reissue

'Automatic' is the only album released by Sharpe + Numan in 1989. This was a collaboration between Gary Numan and jazz keyboardist/producer Bill Sharpe who member of the jazz fusion group Shakatak. London-based reissue label Cherry Pop will release an expanded version of 'Automatic' on October 18, 2010 and this reissue will feature extensive sleevenotes by Steve Thorpe, track comments from Bill Sharpe & Gary Numan, lyrics to all tracks, and remastered sound by Tim Turan.

Until December- The 415 Sessions

San Francisco's 415 label has reissued Until December's only album which was released in 1986. This 2 CD set pretty much encompasses their entire recorded work. Disc 1 features the full album plus a bunch of non-LP singles. Disc 2 features their 12" remix versions of their best tracks. Most of this material is making its worldwide CD debut.

Propaganda's 'A Secret Wish' Reissued

The highly influential debut album from German synthpop outfit Propaganda 1985’s 'A Secret Wish' has been reissued again, this time appearing in a 25th anniversary 2CD edition featuring six previously unreleased tracks plus the rare 20-minute cassette mix of “Duel.” The deluxe edition of 'A Secret Wish' features the original nine-track album plus six cassette- and vinyl-only mixes on one disc, and a second disc with 11 more tracks, including previously unreleased mixes of “Dr. Mabuse” and “Sorry for Laughing” by label chiefs Trevor Horn and Paul Morley, respectively.

Kim Wilde Reissues

Cherry Red continues to release albums from Kim Wilde catalog. After the release of the first three albums, they will relase 'Teases and Dares' from 1984 and 'Another Step', originally released in 1986.
'Teases and Dares' comes complete with an incredible 16 bonus tracks including many ultra rare 12 and Extended mixes. Alongside the original LP artwork this release includes lyrics to all the songs. 'Another Step' gets the deluxe 2CD treatment and comes with 17 bonus tracks including many hard to find 12 , 7 , Club and Extended versions, all re-mastered by Tim Turan.

Bow Wow Wow- See Jungle! See Jungle! Go Join Your Gang Yeah, City All Over! Go Ape Crazy!'

Cherry Red Records will reissue the second album by Malcolm Maclaren managed group Bow Wow Wow. The album 'See Jungle! See Jungle! Go Join Your Gang Yeah, City All Over! Go Ape Crazy!' which was originally released in 1981, will be reissued as a double CD and features the album and b sides and rarities from the Bow wow Wow song catalog. The album is released on June 21, 2010.

The Lotus Eaters- No Sense of Sin Reissue

'No Sense of Sin', the debut album by the British group the Lotus Eaters has been reissued by Cherry Red. The album was originally released in 1984 and featured the hits "The First Picture of You" and "You Don't Need Someone New". The band are still very active, having given an extremely well received performance at the Liverpool Philharmonic Theatre in 2009 and currently putting the finishing touches to a new album.

Duran Duran and Seven And The Ragged Tiger to be Reissued

Following the recent expanded reissue of Duran Duran’s 'Rio' album, Capitol/EMI will release their self-titled debut and 'Seven and the Ragged Tiger' albums. The release is scheduled for March 29, 2010 in Europe and May 18th in the US in limited edition 2CD/DVD and digital audio packages. Expanded limited special editions feature remastered original albums, plus b-sides, 12-inch mixes, live recordings, music videos, and radio & TV performances, including previously unreleased material.

The Buggles- Adventures in Modern Recording 2010

"Adventures in Modern Recording", was the second album by the British synthpop duo the Buggles which was recorded in 1981.The album was mostly produced by Trevor Horn with the assistence of Bruce Woolley. The album was re-issued for the first time in 1992 by Japanese label Jimco Records and completed with bonus tracks in 1997. Their latest reissue contains 10 bonus tracks and it's out on Salvo Records.

Ian North- My Girlfriend's Dead

A pioneering synth-pop gem by Ian North 'My Girlfriend's Dead' has been reissued by Cherry Red label in the UK. At its time of the release of 'My Girlfriend’s Dead' there were only a handful of other artists such as John Fox, OMD, The Human League and The Normal who were working in the same field of electronic music.

Freur- 'Get Us Out of Here' Reissue

Freur's second album "Get Us Out Of Here" has been reissued on CD for the fist time. It's coupled with the band's much loved debut album "Doot Doot" together on one CD. 'Doot Doot' was alreday issued in France and Germany in 2000. The CD features the full original track-listings of both albums including versions of the band's six single releases. The CD booklet features a biography, an extensive UK discography and features all the single sleeves from the time of the original release.
