Next Wave: MGMT

MGMT are Andrew Vanwyngarden and Ben Goldwasser and the group is formerly known as MANAGEMENT. On November 14, 2007 "Rolling Stone" pegged MGMT as a top 10 "Artist to Watch" in 2008 and they really are something to "Watch". Their music is innovative with so much retro style, mixing synths and psychotropic sounds. They sing about love, youth and nature.

Next Wave: Blondfire

Blondfire is the Brazilian/American brother/sister duo of Bruce and Erica Driscoll. They began under the name Astaire, but due to legal threats from the Fred Astaire estate they were forced to change their name. The siblings write/record/produce all their own songs and make a refreshing, UK influenced sound that is at once catchy, original, and undeniably their own. Despite their polished, pop hooks, the duo is the true definition of Indie.

Metric- Grow Up And Blow Away

'Grow Up and Blow Away' was the first recorded album by indie rock band Metric. The album was recorded in 2001, but delayed for years by their record label.
