Rose Gray - Free
Rose Gray has returned with a brand-new single, "Free". In the context of its release, it celebrates the summer mood and joy. She also preformed it on this year's Glastonbury Festival.
Next Wave: Telenova
Telenova is a Melbourne-based trio formed in the early 2020s. The band comprises singer Angeline Armstrong and multi-instrumentalists Edward Quinn and Joshua Moriarty. Since their formation, Telenova has released two EPs and several singles, establishing a distinctive sound that blends electronic art pop with influences of trip hop and indie folk. Their music has been noted for its atmospheric qualities and intricate production, creating a unique sonic palette that sets them apart.
Their debut album, set for release in August, is highly anticipated and expected to further cement their place in the contemporary music scene.

Following his self titled EP release from January this year, Robert Alfons is back with the melodic new single titled "Soon" which is out on Dais Records. This also announces his fall 2024 EU/UK tour.
U96 Team up with Wolfgang Flür of Kraftwek
The 90's electro dance act U96 who made prominence in the early 90's with "Das Boot" and other string of hits have united with Wolfgang Flur of the classic Kraftwerk line up to and recorded an album together. Their first single is out now and pretty much "Transhuman" pretty much resurrects the Kraftwerk sound introducing it to the new decade. The album of the same name was released in early September through Radikal record label.
Kylie Minogue Reveals the First Single From 'Disco'
Kylie Minogue's 15th studio album Disco will be released early November this year. Yesterday Kylie premiered the first single from it called "Say Something". With the indicative album title and the fresh new dance rhythms on "Say Something", it is clear that Kylie is returning to electro disco style.
Next Wave: MOTHERMARY
Mothermary were already around for three years now and it is in this catastrophic times that the duo caught our attention. They are twins, Elyse and Larena and as they say on their website, they left religion (Mormon upbringing) and decided to do music together. Their base in the last few years seems to have been NYC and this is also where they create their specific art form of electropop. So far they have released the debut EP 'Not a Virgin' and their brand new single/video for the song "Catch Fire" is out now on Italians Do It Better.
WAW: Georgia - 24 Hours
Following the three previous hit singles in 2018 and 2019, Georgia reveals the video for the fourth single "24 Hours", from her upcoming debut album 'Seeking Thrills'. The album is out on Friday, January 10th and it will be released through Domino Records.
Pet Shop Boys Announce Brand New EP 'Agenda'
Pet Shop Boys are releasing a brand new EP this week. It will be entitled 'Agenda' and will feature four tracks which will be revealed throughout the week starting with “Give stupidity a chance”. CD of 'Agenda' is also available to pre-order exclusively with Pet Shop Boys’ once-a-year publication 'Annually' which has been announced today and will be published on April 12th.
Next Wave: Ships in the Night
Ships in the Night is Charlottesville, Virginia based electropop act led by Alethea Leventhal. Alethea has started releasing music in 2015 and released two EPs as SitN. The music of Ships in the Night is well balanced and atmospheric dream pop which is poured down on you and true to the title, it is a perfect nighttime mate. This year sees the release of Ships in the Night debut album which is titled ‘Myriologues’ and includes 9 studio tracks. The album is available on Bandcamp.
Saint Etienne announce new Album for June
Saint Etienne are back with a brand new studio album 'Home Countries'. This is their first release since their "World and Music' from 2012. The new album was produced by Young Gun Silver Fox’s Shawn Lee along with other collaborators. It will feature 19 tracks with "Heather" being the lead track and it will be released in June on Heavenly.
Next Wave: Raw Moans
Time for our last Next Wave for this year! We go East with the sound this time and would like to introduce Raw Moans, the project of Joseph Vorachack which also features Michael Thibodeaux (instrumentals, production).
Before starting his own musical creation, he was member in several music groups including Wavves and his own living room has inspired him to start his own DiY thing. That is how the idea of Raw Moans was born. After he has teamed up with Michael, soon after they released their debut EP 'Safe Sex'. This is a tribute to musicians and who lived and died from complications due to HIV/AIDS. This is reflected through lyric collages, allusions, and re-workings of songs by musicians, such as Arthur Russell, Klaus Nomi, and Eazy-E, over original instrumentals and melodies.

WAW: Betsy- Wanted More
Time for the last WAW this year. It comes as a random discovery on Youtube and turned also to be one of the most surprising artists to discover this year. Her name is simply Betsy and I'm sure we will write more about her in 2017. For now as a warm up, here comes here brilliant video for the song "Wanted More". This song has also been released as a single and she also released an EP. We hope for the album next year. More to come!
Next Wave: Samantha Urbani
Already last year Samantha Urbani caught quite a deal of attention with her song "1,2,3,4" released in April last year. It remains one of the most memorable dance tunes that has kept us on feet throughout 2015. At home in LA and NYC, she is a singer, songwriter, visual artist and skilled to so many things related to these. Her musical starts date back to 2010, when she formed internationally successful dance-punk band Friends. The band dissolved after releasing one album and several singles till 2013. Before launching her solo career, Samantha collaborated with Domino Records artist Dev Hynes.
After two single releases as solo artist in 2015, she has surprised us yesterday when she revealed the video for possible new single "Milk Makeup". Hope there is more to follow and possible new EP or Album release.
In Conversation: October Dance
It was October 2012 when we first got in to the music of October Dance. It was a lovely autumn electro dance affair of "Houses Falling" that caught our attention back then....and yes it happened in October somehow! It still remains as one of the most memorable songs for this year. Soon after, band's universe started to grow. They secured the first record deal, released first EPs and their fanbase has been growing since that. It hard to describe their music in one genre; it has its roots in art pop and it is dance music inspired by variety and diversity of 70's disco, 80's sytnh-pop and 90's house-pop. This year, they have also been performing on the Roskilde festival for the first time and got big plans for the future. WAW: Class Actress- More Than You
Class Actress will return with a brand new EP this month. This is their first follow up, studio release to their debut album 'Rapprocher', which was released in 2011. The new EP is entitled 'Movies' and it will be out on 'Casablanca' records. Their brilliant video for the song 'More Than You' was premiered on Youtube on June 2nd.
Next Wave: Night Drive
The Austin/Houston based duo of Rodney Connell and Brandon Duhon began after a young woman they were both unknowingly dating at the same time was killed in a car crash. The tragic event bonded the two men, and shortly afterwards they began a musical collaboration. Inspired by dark, synth-heavy electro pop, Night Drive released their first EP called Position I. Their singles "Drones", "After Dark" and "Young Rivals" have been featured in film and on radio stations nationwide. Touring with international bands such as Tesla Boy, Gold Fields and Jupiter, they've quickly garnered a reputation as a must see, high energy live show.
Next Wave: Eternal Death
From one of the finest indie pop factories in Europe, Labrador Music from Sweden, comes a rather unusual act called Eternal Death. The band, project, artist which hides under this moniker only gives us a quick view on his theory about life and death. Expressed through their music, it is a dream with no end, white and grey noise and electropop waves lighten up by angelic vocals. Their debut single is out now!

Retrovision: Pet Shop Boys- Left to My Own Devices
Twenty five years ago, Pet Shop Boys released their single "Left To My Own Devices". Personally on of my favorite Pet Shop Boys to this date. The song was released as the second single from their third studio album, Introspective. It became the first track that Pet Shop Boys recorded with an orchestra, arranged by Richard Niles reaching the top ten charts in several European countries including the UK.

Berlin to Release a New Album this September
One of the groundbreaking bands of American synth pop in the early 80's Berlin are set to release a brand new album. The new album, band's seventh release, will be entitled 'Animal' and will feature 11 brand new recordings. 'Animal' incorporates modern electro-pop and dance keeping it up with the modern pop artists of today. The album is set for release on September 17th and it will be followed by a tour.
