Next Wave: Turboweekend

Turboweekend is a three piece band out of Copenhagen, Denmark, consisting of Silas Bjerregaard (Vocals), Martin Øhlers Petersen (Drums), and Morten Køie (Bass).The three members grew up together in the small town of Fredensborg. They formed Turboweekend around 2006 as a playground project, and only 4 years after the playground has become fulltime work in the most rewarding sense of the word. The band is currently writing material for their third album and preparing a European spring tour beginning. The Human League March

Thirty years ago the Human League had a huge international success with the song "Don't You Want Me Baby" and their third album 'Dare!" went platinum in the UK. This month, they are releasing their first album in ten years and they will be the featured as the band of the month, this March, on Burning Flame Blog. Here is another hit form the album 'Dare!' which announced the New Human League Era. It was performed live on 'Top of the Pops' back in 1981.

Mirrors- Lights and Offerings

The long awaited debut album by Brighton Mirrors 'Lights and Offerings' is out today. The LP is released both as a digital and CD release and offers a full 10 tracks, 6 live cuts and even an hour-long track-by-track analysis chat. The album also features the videos for previous singles 'Ways To An End' and 'Hide And Seek' which were released last year.

Retrovision: Blancmange- Blind Vision

"Blind Vision" won the Burning Flame February poll for the best Blancmange song. The song was originally released in 1983 and it reached number 10 in the UK charts. This is the official video for the song.

Instant Hit: Cyber People- Polaris

"Polaris" was the first single release for Cyber People in 1984, the same year as the project was formed. It proved to be only a minor hit, as it was only released in Italy, and later in Germany on ZYX Records. The songs features space synths, italo disco style with great melody line and vocoder inputs and in the internet era it has grown into a electronic italo-disco classic.


Patrick Wolf- The City Video

Patrick Wolf is back with a new single entitled "The City" which is the second single to be released from the forthcoming album 'Lupercalia'. The single is out on March 14, 2011 while the album release is scheduled for May. Enjoy the video!
