The Lightning Seeds- Four Winds

The Lightning Seeds returned after almost ten years break in May with a new album release. The album is entitled 'Four Winds' and it was released under Universal's Stage Three Records on 25 May 2009. The record was produced by Ian Brodie himself.
This an extra note to the album:
"After a 10 year Hiatus Ian Broudie, after suffering some personal turmoil over the past few years with the death of his parents, brother, sister and the breakdown of his marriage, has ressurected the Lightning Seeds name for his latest album "Four Winds".

Next Wave: Sensual Harassment

This is my recent discovery in music, a trio from Brooklyn, called Sensual Harassment. This is how they describe themselves and their music.

"Sensual Harassment is a Reptilian Humanoid alliance utilizing sonic mind control through beat-driven psych-pop. In their debut broadcast, the scaly Brooklyn trio seamlessly shape-shifts from reverb-drenched post-Apocalypic new wave to epileptic space disco."

Their first EP is produced by Jesse Cannon who use to work with Animal Collective and the Cure. Definetly something to check out.
Their songs are streaming and available for download on their official webpage:

Henry Badowski

Henry Badowski is known as the British songwriter and composer as well as a multi instrumentalist. At the beginning of his career he used to play in many Punk and New wave bands. In the early 80's he released few singles and recorded one LP, after which he withdrew from the music and public life.

Henry's career started in a punk band Chelsie where he was a bassist. He later joined Wreckless Eric's band as a drummer, he sang and played keyboards with short-lived King a punk/psychedelic group. He also played briefly with Alternative TV. Before launching his solo career he was temporary member of the Damned off-shoot, the Doomed, playing bass guitar.

Badowski's solo career began in the summer of 1979, with the release of "Making Love With My Wife" on Deptford Fun City label. The single drew favourable reviews and within a month he had signed a contract with A&M Records, releasing a further two singles "My Face" and "Henry's In Love", closely followed by the album 'Life Is Grand...', His album displayed strong 60's and 70's influence and Henry himself played the most of the instruments except the violin and the guitar. After his album release and no new follow-up Henry has withdrawn from music and public life. His album has never been remastered.

Instant Hit: Blancmange- The Day Before You Came

"The Day Before You Came" was originally released by Abba in 1982. It was one of their last single releases and some consider it as a flop and a career mistake . In 1984, Blancmange recorded their own cover version of the song for London Records. The song appeared both as 7" and 12" record with "All Things Are Nice" as a b-side. It certinly lived up to the original version and today most people remember it as theirs.

Next Wave: Florence & The Machine

Florence and The Machine is a British group that consists of Florence Welch and her backing band of several musicians which is a reffernce to "the Machine". The music of Florence & The Machine is generally reffered to indie, pop-rock and bit of tribal and folk and this is what Florence thinks music should sound like: “I want my music to sound like throwing yourself out of a tree, or off a tall building, or as if you’re being sucked down into the ocean and you can’t breathe”.
The band's debut album, 'Lungs', will be released on 6th July 2009. The albums was preceded by few brilliant songs including the cover version of "You've Got The Love" and their latest release "Rabbit Heart" which were released earlier this year.
