The Lightning Seeds returned after almost ten years break in May with a new album release. The album is entitled 'Four Winds' and it was released under Universal's Stage Three Records on 25 May 2009. The record was produced by Ian Brodie himself.
This an extra note to the album:
"After a 10 year Hiatus Ian Broudie, after suffering some personal turmoil over the past few years with the death of his parents, brother, sister and the breakdown of his marriage, has ressurected the Lightning Seeds name for his latest album "Four Winds".

Next Wave: Sensual Harassment

This is my recent discovery in music, a trio from Brooklyn, called Sensual Harassment. This is how they describe themselves and their music.

"Sensual Harassment is a Reptilian Humanoid alliance utilizing sonic mind control through beat-driven psych-pop. In their debut broadcast, the scaly Brooklyn trio seamlessly shape-shifts from reverb-drenched post-Apocalypic new wave to epileptic space disco."

Their first EP is produced by Jesse Cannon who use to work with Animal Collective and the Cure. Definetly something to check out.
Their songs are streaming and available for download on their official webpage:

Instant Hit: Blancmange- The Day Before You Came

"The Day Before You Came" is indeed a notable song by ABBA, released in 1982. While it didn't achieve the same level of commercial success as some of their previous hits, it has gained recognition over time for its haunting melody and introspective lyrics.
Blancmange's cover of the song in 1984 brought a fresh interpretation to the track. With their own style and sound, Blancmange's version added a new dimension to the song. Over the years, Blancmange's cover has gained its own following, with many people appreciating it as much as, if not more than, the original. It's a testament to the enduring quality of the song that different artists can interpret it in their own way while still capturing its essence.

Next Wave: Florence & The Machine

Florence and The Machine is a British group that consists of Florence Welch and her backing band of several musicians which is a reffernce to "the Machine". The music of Florence & The Machine is generally reffered to indie, pop-rock and bit of tribal and folk and this is what Florence thinks music should sound like: “I want my music to sound like throwing yourself out of a tree, or off a tall building, or as if you’re being sucked down into the ocean and you can’t breathe”.
The band's debut album, Lungs, will be released on 6th July 2009. The albums was preceded by few brilliant songs including the cover version of "You've Got The Love" and their latest release "Rabbit Heart" which were released earlier this year.
